Прекрасен на вид и запах. А что касается вкуса, то описать это блаженство способны лишь поэты-профессионалы. Гитаан - имя созвучное санскритскому слову "Гита", т.е. - песнь... Этот фрукт - любимая пища не только Даяков (коренных жителей этих мест), но также орангутанов, гиббонов и других благородных существ. Все они едят Гитаан и радостно поют песню жизни: "Господь, Ты создал лес на радость всем, на радость всем!" Gitaan smells as beautifully as it looks. As for it's taste.. Well, only professional poets can describe it. Name Gitaan sounds like Geeta, that is - song in Sanskrit. Dayaks (native people of Kalimantan's forests), Orangutans, Gibbons, as well as many other noble beings delight in eating Gitaan. They sing happily their Life's Song: "Lord of the Earth! O, Mahadeva! You've created rainforest - with all it's trees and fruits - for happiness of all! Happiness of all! Glory to you, oh Great Lord!"
Ниже - Капуль. Вкус также неописуем. Вы пробовали когда-нибудь сравнительно обычный Манггис? Так вот, представьте теперь вкус Манггиса, в котором присутствует легкий аромат шоколада! Растёт Капуль - как и Гитаан - в исконных (т. е. неиспорченных, неизменённых человеком) дождевых лесах Калимантана.
Kapul is another good example of Kalimantan's native fruits, i.e. - fruits that grow for millenia in unspoiled, original rainforests of the island. Kapul tastes something like far more common Manggis, but differs from the last slightly - by subtle aroma of a chocolate.
